In Europe while studying abroad, Spring Break is really just like Spring Break in the US. It’s the perfect amount of time to put down the books and jet set off to a whole new destination to party it up or relax by the beach. The only difference is that now, all of Europe is at your fingertips. Who needs Miami when you’ve got Greece, Barcelona, Berlin and Amsterdam, only to name a few incredible cities, calling your name?
No matter what your travel personality is, there’s a Spring Break with your name on it. The Western Loop takes you to 5 different cities in 5 different countries, all in one fell swoop. It’s a whirlwind trip that has a little something for everyone, while Greece Island Hopping is perfect if you’re looking for the perfect mashup of history and culture with a side of sea and a big splash of a party. Let us break down the details for you!
THE WESTERN LOOP
BERLIN ● AMSTERDAM ● BELGIUM ● PARIS ● BARCELONA
THE Spring Break for anyone with a huge dose of wanderlust, a thirst that can only be quenched with German & Belgian beer and Spanish Sangria, plus a desire eat their way through the incredible cuisines of Western Europe.
DAY 1 – DEPART
DAY 2 & 3 – BERLIN
Berlin is a cultural capital, busting at the seams with art, amazing nightlife, and a start up culture that rivals that of San Francisco. Known for its alternative edge, you’ll have the chance to immerse yourself in both WWII and the fall of Communism. Start off your trip with a walking tour to see architectural wonders like the Brandenburg Gate, Historical milestones like Checkpoint Charlie, and modern graffiti art like you’ve never seen before at East Side Gallery—a standing portion of the Berlin Wall that is the longest open-air gallery in the world!
DAY 4 & 5 – AMSTERDAM
The city is infamous not only for its open lifestyle, but also for its stunning architecture, charming canals, and unique cultural experiences and museums. Together we’ll explore everything from The Red Light District to the Anne Frank House or Van Gogh Museums and even the Heineken Experience, and of course you can’t leave Amsterdam without experiencing the café culture and nightlife!
DAY 6 – BELGIUM & PARIS
On our way to Paris, we’ll stop in Belgium to see the sites and to taste our way through Belgian waffles, pommes frites (french fries), all the chocolate your taste buds can handle, and of course, Beer! Then we’re off to Paris, just in time to see the Eiffel Tower sparkle at night.
DAY 7 & 8– PARIS & VERSAILLE
Ah, Paris. The city of romance. Fall in love with Paris and all it has to offer when you see Notre Dame, Pont des Arts, and the Louvre. You can spend your afternoons picnicking outside the Eiffel Tower, finding the world’s best Crêpes, strolling along the Seine, or even going on a guided tour of the factory and museum of the Fragonard Parfumerie—one of the very first parfumeries that ever sold fragrances directly to tourists. You could even opt to take a day trip to the nearby Palace of Versailles, an architectural wonder built in the 17th century that was the playground for many Kings and Queens and their lords and ladies. At night, you can watch the sunset at Sacre Coeur or make your way through the many bars Paris has to offer.
DAY 9 & 10 – BARCELONA & DEPARTURE
Bustling Barcelona is hard to sum up in a paragraph. The capital of Catalonia and the second largest city in Spain, its cultural roots go back more than 2000 years. From ancient roman ruins to modern and contemporary architecture, everywhere you turn is a photo opportunity. Soak up the sun beachside, explore the famed La Sagrada Familia, or Gaudi’s Park Güell for a dazzling, birds eye view of the entire city, immerse yourself in Picasso, or simply explore each of the unique districts the city has to offer. For a true Spanish experience, make sure you take an afternoon siesta to prepare yourself for the famed nightlife of Barcelona. We’re heading to popular bars such as Los Chupitos or L’Ovella Negra and ending the night at the world-renowned nightclubs on the beach.
GREECE ISLAND HOPPING

Upon arrival, you’ll find yourself thinking, “Is this real life or a postcard?” The iconic white and blue buildings that seem to cling to the cliffside are unbelievable IRL. Spend your day exploring the red rock beach, the black sand beach, and other instagram-worthy lookout spots. You could even rent a scooter or ATV to see the small villages and landscapes that surround Santorini, then finish with a delicious meal and an optional trip to the neighboring town of Oia to soak in the most stunning sunset of your life.
DAY 6 – TRAVEL DAY
Back on the Blue Star Ferry, live the life of luxury. Walk around to shop, or even pamper yourself with a fish pedicure. Then we’ll hop aboard a bus to catch some zzz’s and wake up at the port of Igoumenitsa. From there, it’s a quick 1-1.5 hr ferry ride to the island of Corfu. Cross your fingers for sun. It’s time to soak it up!
DAY 7, 8, & 9 – CORFU PINK PALACE
The pink palace in Corfu is like nothing you’ve ever seen before. A beachside compound, a short walk from your room will bring you to a relaxing day on the beach or to activities like ATV riding, sea kayaking, a day trip to Corfu Town, or a party boat! On our last day, we’ll dress up in silky pink togas for the famous Pink Palace Toga Party. Dance the night away, smash some plates, and taste the legendary Greek Ouzo!
DAY 9 & 10
We depart Corfu on the evening of our 9th day and arrive in Ancona on day 10 where we take off to go back to Florence, Rome, or any of our other home study abroad cities.
So, what do you think? Are you ready to don a pink toga and “Opa!” your way through ancient history, boat rides, and sunset views? Or are you thinking it’s time to check a few more countries off that bucketlist? Honestly, with either trip you can’t go wrong.
