By Dakota Green

The fairytale city is one of the most popular European travel destinations. As you’re approaching your upcoming weekend and getting excited for goulash and castle tours, the most important question always comes about: what do I pack? Don’t worry, we’ve created a guide for all the essentials you should bring with you to Praha.

Most importantly: your perfect Insta outfit. Whether it’s in front of Prague Castle or the John Lennon wall, the views of Prague are absolutely breathtaking and you’re bound to capture the perfect picture. If you’re looking to take your new profile picture in front of the John Lennon wall, make sure to have a simple outfit with solid colors, otherwise you’ll be camouflaged and hard to spot!

A huge thing to remember is that Prague is most likely colder than your study abroad city. Bring lots of layers, including a jacket, to make sure you can stroll the city without being cold. Scarves are light and don’t take up much room in your suitcase! Toss in a scarf or two to keep your outfits looking fresh all weekend long.

As I’m sure you’ve learned while living in Europe, the most exciting way to adventure around a city is to get lost. Make sure to have comfortable walking shoes so you can get lost along the Vltava River and adventure throughout the fairytale city.

Don’t forget your nighttime outfits for a Pub Crawl or a night at Lucerna! Lucerna is one of the best bars in Prague and they throw awesome 80’s and 90’s themed parties. If you have a little extra room in your suitcase throw in an 80’s themed shirt to guarantee you’re the most prepared for the party.

The beauty of Prague is evident on every street corner and down every small alley. If you are running late and don’t have time to think through your packing Thursday night, the most important thing for you to bring is your camera. The architecture, food, landscapes, and landmarks are all memories you’ll want to capture to remember forever.
