Your Five Fall Travel Must-Haves

By Yasi Agah

If you’re embarking on an international adventure this Fall and stuck on what to pack, look no further. We’ve compiled a list of the 5 things you can’t forget this Fall break so that you’re ready to explore new places and stay warm and prepared while doing it. A lot of people don’t realize Europe during the Fall can actually get really cold. Temperatures during this season average around 38-50 degrees Fahrenheit. Burr. So it’s definitely time to bundle up. These five fall travel must-haves will keep you warm, comfortable and always come in use during those chilly Fall days:

Beanie

Did you know that you lose heat the most out of your head?  So, obviously, when you’re cold you need to cover your head the most. Having a beanie or a thick headband can make a huge difference. You can also step up your fashion game by getting a cute thick headband or wearing your sports team’s latest beanie.

Gloves

Having cold fingers and hands can be miserable if you don’t have anything to keep them warm. Have you ever kept your hands inside your pockets the whole time when you’re out? Now you don’t have to anymore. Get gloves! It’s a huge lifesaver especially when you want to bike ride through Amsterdam. Having gloves on while riding through that crisp, cold air will come in so handy– get it? Ok, I’ll stop now.

 Scarf

Staying warm while you’re traveling is extremely important. It’s such an easy thing to do and will make your travels a lot more comfortable. Continuing on the trend of keeping your body warm, the next essential Fall item is a scarf. Not only does it keep you nice and warm but it’s really cozy. And can sometimes double up as a blanket if you buy a large one. This item is definitely a necessity and c’mon they just add to your Fall style.

Boots

Traveling means that you’ll be walking. A LOT. You absolutely need shoes to keep up on your journeys. Since you’ll be walking a lot, your shoes will probably get really broken in by the end of your travels. You can go to H&M or Zara and find cheaper boots (like the ones in the photo). They’re only about 30 euros and will definitely last while you travel around. It’s worth it not only for the price but they’re extremely comfortable as well.

Umbrella

Besides being a little chilly during Fall, it also rains a lot! Having an umbrella handy is always a solid accessory to have. You don’t want to be stuck in a storm without one! They sell cute umbrellas all over the continent and they’re all really cheap as well. Easy to slide into a backpack and you’ll be happy once it starts raining!
