Rimini is the capital of the Adriatic Italian Riviera. Sure it is a wonderful, relaxing beach destination, if that is what you are looking for. However, most people who descend on the Italian Riviera’s hot spot are not only looking for a relaxing time. Rimini is known for is pulsing nightlife, with beach clubs, pub crawls, and booze cruises. It was so cool that the Jersey Shore cast took a respite from clogging up the Florence streets with cameras and their following to head to Rimini for a night of fist pumping, and fun. I don’t know about you, but if J Shore has been there, I am going. If that isn’t your thing, don’t worry Rimini still remains a lesser known beach party destination for non-Italians, so fist pumping is not included in the experience.
So, a better comparison for all of you not from the best state in the Union, would be that Rimini is Italy’s Ibiza. If you are already in Italy, spare yourself the flight costs, and effort, because Rimini is only a short trip from you, and a much cheaper beach party experience. Plus, Rimini is known for having Italy’s most friendly and easygoing beach population. You will not find this sense of relaxation and enjoyment in Ibiza, where it is 24/7 party whether you like it or not.
If you are looking to have fun, and get your tan on, then you must visit Rimini, if anything just to say you went to the coolest city in Italy that none of your friends have gone to. If that isn’t enough, a whole new country, the Republic of San Marino is perched on a cliff only a short distance away, waiting for you to check it off your list.
Get out there and do it. All the cool Italians are.
