What if I told you there is a place where your wildest food dreams could come true and not only that but you could go to this place for free. In reality, the only place this dream could really exist is in the country where the most iconic foods were born, Italy.

FICO Eataly World in Bologna, Italy is a giant 100,000 square meter park dedicated to all things food, wine, and indulgence. From farm to table, Eataly has tours, classes, restaurants, food kiosks, and countless other enlightening activities for you to experience first hand. With so many things to do, we’ve compiled a list of our top 7 things you should definitely experience at Eataly World in Bologna:
1. Take A Cooking Class
Learn the art of cooking by taking part in a class that shows you step by step how to feel like a real Italian chef.
2. Become A Beekeeper For The Day
We all know bees are dying at an alarming rate… but all jokes aside this is actually true. Eataly offers a class where you learn the buzz about what life is like inside a beehive, taking care of bees, and the secrets of beekeepers.
3. Learn How To Taste Wine
I’d like to think that I know what I’m doing when I’m tasting wine but to be honest I don’t have a clue. But thankfully, the wine tasting course at Eataly goes over the ABC’s of wine tasting and will help you understand the difference between wines.
4. Try Carne Cruda
Raw fish? No problem. You could eat sushi for dayzzz. But raw meat? Thank u, next. Expand your food horizons by trying Carne Cruda an Italian uncooked beef dish.

It is usually served with Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese and in most places, it is found with white truffles (tartufi bianchi). Where ever you get it, it is dressed with freshly squeezed lemon juice and amazing extra-virgin olive oil.
5. Experience Truffle Hunting
DOGS, TRUFFLE TASTING! Do I have your attention yet? This experience offers not only the chance to meet the cutest, smartest labradors but it also lets you taste and learn about Italy’s most prized treasure, truffle.

You will see how these labradors are trained to hunt for naturally grown truffle on FICO’s grounds. You will also learn about the varieties of truffle and how the dogs are able to hunt out even the smallest of truffles.
6. Taste Food In The Dark
Awaken your senses with this unusual activity offered at FICO Eataly World. Put on a mask that covers your eyes and put your taste buds to the test. Taste from an array of different pairings and try to guess ingredients and spices to finally tasting wine.
7. Eat Pasta Bolognese
If you do anything at FICO Eataly World make sure it’s getting a bite of the Pasta Bolognese. As Bologna is the birthplace of this well know dish it would be a dishonor not to a least give a taste to the hometown of this traditional pasta.
