Greece Island Hopping – Meet Us There

Meet us at the airport in Santorini on arrival day any time after 16:00. After settling in to our accomodation in Fira, your trip leaders will take you on a short walking tour to get acquainted with the area. After a beautiful sunset view, there will be optional group dinner at a local Greek Taverna followed by drinks.

Enjoy an optional tour around the island of Santorini. Visit the red rock beach, the black sand beach and other incredible lookout spots during the day. After the beaches we return to the accommodation to freshen up before heading out for a wine tasting at the Santos Vineyards and wrapping up the day watching the sunset from the amazingly beautiful village of of Oia.

People who prefer to explore on their own have the day to visit the beaches and explore the island by public bus or by renting ATV

Explore the Santorini caldera by sea on the optional Catamaran Tour. Spend the day sailing on a catamaran tour through the caldera. Dive into the crystal blue waters and search for the lost city of Atlantis on one of the swim stops and enjoy an included lunch and drinks on board.

After breakfast, we will take a ferry to, the famous island of Mykonos. Known for its picturesque windmills, pristine beaches and beach clubs. Once we arrive you will have time to check into the accommodation and freshen up; the night is yours to enjoy an evening of seaside dinner and dancing.

Spend the day exploring the island of Mykonos on the optional Island Tour.  Or head to one of the secluded beaches on your own after renting a kayak or SUP.  Make sure you save some energy to hit  up one of the world famous beachside clubs or bars at night.

In the morning join us for an optional ATV tour to explore the rest of the island and make stops to some secluded beaches and soak up the last of the Greek sun.  Spend some time exploring the Old Town of Mykonos (Chora). Wander through the maze of whitewashed streets, visit the windmills, and take in the stunning views from Little Venice

Spend the morning relaxing before head to the port to take a ferry to our last stop, historic Athens. Once we arrive you will have time to check into the accommodation and freshen up before heading out for an optional dinner at one of the traditional Greek restaurants in Plaka. After dinner get ready to enjoy Athens’ rich night life. Your Bus2alps trip leader can give you suggestions on the best places.

We will depart for the included walking tour of Athens after breakfast. This walking tour is a great way to get acquainted with one of the oldest and most fascinating cities in the Western World. You will see the Greek National Parliament, the 1896 Olympic Stadium, the Temple of Zeus, the Acropolis museum, and of course, the Acropolis. Your International Student ID will get you reduced entry to all the sites on the walking tour. In order to receive a reduced entry, your ID must be an international ID from your study abroad program. The walking tour ends at Monastiraki Square. Here you can have a sit down lunch or grab a cheap gyro from a traditional Greek Gyro stand. The afternoon is free to have custom sandals made, shop at the flea market and souvenir shops, visit the museums, or grab a traditional Greek Coffee.

Today is your departure day. Depending on your flight times take the morning to relax or do some last minute souvenir shopping. Speak with your tour leader about setting up an airport transfer with the accommodation.
