    Florence to Prague & Munich Itinerary

    Day 1Depart Florence

    The trip departs Florence Thursday evening. Please meet your trip leader 30 minutes prior to departure. Travel to Prague is by private coach. We make one 45 minute stop on the way.

     

    Day 2 Explore Prague

    Friday morning, after checking into our accommodation, we will have time to have breakfast and freshen up, before heading out to explore Prague with the best private walking tour in the city. The 3 hour tour will cover the highlights of Prague’s fascinating history while visiting Old Town, New Town and the Jewish Quarter.

    After immersing yourself in Czech culture on the walking tour, Your guides will provide recommendations on how to spend the remainder of your day in Prague. Stumble upon Prague’s iconic gothic architecture, sip on ice-cold Pilsner Urquell or a glass of local wine, climb the bell tower in old town square or shop down Wenceslas Square.

    Friday night, we take you out to Lucerna for an 80’s & 90’s pop video dance party. A great atmosphere and cheap drinks, Lucerna is the place to be every Friday night. The venue is packed with Czechs of all ages dancing on the huge dance floor and up on stage.

    Day 3 Hidden Prague

    Saturday morning, join your guides for the Bus2alps “unknown Prague” walking tour of the city. The 2 hour tour will bring you to some of our favorite spots, highlights of Prague hotspots you might not find on your own. Take in the best Prague has to offer while browsing through street vendors on The Charles Bridge, making your mark on the Lennon Wall and taking in the spectacular views from Prague Castle.

    From there, you can join your guides at the traditional Czech Lunch at U Fleku Brewery & Restaurant (meal not included). Eat your fill of fluffy potato pancakes and hearty beef goulash washed down with a cold beer and a traditional flaky, apple pastry.

    After Lunch take in some of the most amazing views of Prague from atop the Prague Castle or a stroll through Kralovska Zahrada park. The afternoon is free to explore the remainder of Prague.

    Saturday night, join our group on the optional pub crawl to experience the best nightlife that Prague has to offer. Alternatively, head out on your own to discover even more of the city.

    Day 4 Munich

    Sunday morning we will board the bus and head to Munich. You’ll have free time to explore some of Munich’s museums and attractions like the Dachau Memorial, Olympic Park and BMW World (situated next to each other), or you can check out Munich’s famous beer halls

    You can also chose the optional bike tour of Munich. The Munich Bike tour is the best way to see all of Munich and the international guides leading the tour are some of the best in Europe. This easy, flat bike tour takes in all the historical and cultural landmarks in central Munich while providing a fantastic Bavarian history lesson.

    After an afternoon of exploring we will hop back onto the bus and head to Florence. We will make a 45-minute rest stop for dinner.

    Prague:

    Kutna Hora Tour: Take a guided tour out to the famous bone church of Kutna Hora. This church is believed to be constructed of 50,000 skeletons from old priests and residents of the town of Kutna Hora.

    Prague Castle Tour: A three hour guided tour of the world’s largest medieval castle, and the districts that surround it.

    Beer Challenge: Learn about the great history of Czech beer on a tasting tour of some of the most authentic Prague bars and restaurants – save room for dinner!

    Munich: 

    Munich Bike Tour: Hailed by travelers as the best bike tour in Europe, Munich’s Bike Tour is the ideal way to cover all of the major city sights be entertained and learn about the city. Stops on the bike tour include, Marienplatz, Hofbrauhaus, English Gardens, Chinese Tower, Surfer’s Bridge, and Bavarian Parliament.

    Dachau Concentration Camp: Located a 20 minute ride on the train from downtown Munich, this humbling experience brings into perspective the atrocities that occured during Nazi rule in World War II. Open 9:00 – 17:00.

    Deutsches Museum: This interactive museum is the largest technological museum of its kind and is known for its historic artifacts that mark important steps in the field of science and technology. Open 9:00 – 17:00.

    BMW Museum: The museum’s exhibitions, remodeled every few years, takes visitors into the motoring world of yesterday. Open 10:00 – 18:00.
