Barcelona By Night

By Adam King

Barcelona is known for plenty of things; the beautiful work of Gaudi, the amazing food, the shopping, Barceloneta and more. One of the most famous aspects of Barcelona is its world renowned nightlife. This blog is here to give you a guide of the best places to go, every night! As always, be sure to have a game plan to stay safe. Make sure your plan includes: always going out with a group of friends, only taking registered taxis and never taking them alone, and being mindful of your limits with alcohol. With that, read on to start your semester off like a local!

Monday
There’s no case of the Mondays in Barcelona! Start the night at The George Payne (Plaça d’Urquinaona, 5, 08010 Barcelona, Spain). George Payne is an awesome sports bar with pub food, music, and a wide selection of beer. Make sure to catch Monday night football here, and then head to Pacha (Passeig Marítim Barceloneta, 38, 08003 Barcelona, Spain) for free entry until 2AM with Aashi Guest list at this awesome beachside club.*

Tuesday
Tonight, the best place to start is Espit Chupitos (Carrer d’Aribau). They’re known for their unique 3 euro shots named after the most random assortment of people and things. Some of my favorites are the Boy Scout and Pop Rocks! After Chupitos, head to Opium (Passeig Marítim, 34, 08003 Barcelona, Spain) with free entry with Aashi List until 2 am  for the perfect night of dancing until the sun comes up.

Wednesday
Hump Day has arrived, and it comes in great form in Barcelona. It’s time to head over to one of the top clubs in the world, the infamous Sala Razzmatazz (Carrer de Pamplona, 88, 08018 Barcelona). Each floor plays a different style of music (EDM, Rap, R&B, Trance, etc.) so there’s something for everyone. Keep an eye out for big name DJ’s such as The Chainsmokers, Bakermat, Flight Facilities and more playing this Fall.

Thursday
Enjoy the start of your weekend here in Barcelona with the cheapest pregame around at Le Cyrano (Carrer d’Aribau, 154, 08036 Barcelona, Spain). Get your first beer free when you tell them “Aashi List” at the bar. After that, make your own drink for 3 euros. Oh and there’s free popcorn too. After this awesome pregame, you can walk three minutes to one of the biggest clubs in Barcelona, Bling Bling (Carrer de Tuset, 8, 08006 Barcelona, Spain). The club is filled with great DJ’s, cocktails, and it will kick off the weekend right.

Friday
Happy Friday! If you’re not exploring the rest of Europe this weekend, there’s still a lot to do in town. Relax on the beach during the day, grab some Brunch and Cake, and get ready for another crazy night. Head down to one of the biggest beer and sangria halls at L’ovella Negra (Carrer de Zamora, 78, Barcelona, Spain). Mention Aashi list at the door for a free shot of your choice, and then enjoy beer and Sangria towers while watching soccer and listening to music. From there, head down to one of the most famous clubs in all of Barcelona, Opium (Passeig Marítim, 34, 08003 Barcelona, Spain) with free entry with Aashi List until 2 am. Here you’ll see the world’s best DJ’s hit the tables with today’s best in pop and EDM; all while staying up until sunrise on the beach.

Saturday
Everywhere is going to be packed on Saturdays, so choose your favorite starting spot (George Payne and L’ovella Negra will both have a lot of people). When you’re ready to hit the club, head on over to Otto Zutz (Carrer de Lincoln, 15, 08006 Barcelona, Spain) for a night filled with the best Rap and R&B tracks with free entry until 2am with Aashi List.

*If you want to skip the lines and save your Euros for shopping and weekend trips, there’s one person you need to know to get free entry, free drinks, and more to the best places in Barcelona: the infamous Aashi.
